Autumn/fall colours 2010

The full diversity of the Hokkaido mountain forest is displayed around the end of the first week in October when the autumn/fall leaves are turning red, yellow, brown and gold.

Horoka Tomamu has three kinds of maple, prominent on the south slope, but also other shrubs and trees that add individual colour to the landscape, such as the Japanese rowan and Mongolian oak.

The photographs below were taken on 7 and 10-11 October 2010.
